CIRCA Lighting signs Long-term Lease in Georgetown's Cady's Alley
Boutique Lighting Retailer to Open First DC Showroom
in Georgetown’s Design District 

Washington, DCCady’s Alley is about to glisten even brighter with effervescent designer lighting. Eastbanc and Jamestown*** announced today that Circa Lighting, the boutique lighting retailer that features many designer brands, has signed a long-term lease to occupy the 2,010-squre-foot retail space at 3323 Cady’s Alley in Georgetown’s Design District. Located in the former Artist’s Proof Art Gallery space, Circa Lighting is slated to open in early 2015. This will be the company’s first location in the Washington, DC area, adding to its five existing showrooms located in the Southeast and Midwest.
Circa Lighting offers a diverse collection of handcrafted interior and exterior decorative lighting fixtures. Each showroom features signature pieces by design legends such as Ralph Lauren, Aerin Lauder, Suzanne Kasler, E.F. Chapman, Thomas O’Brien, as well as a studio line exclusive to the Circa Lighting brand. The brand offers a unique assortment of table, ceiling, wall, floor and exterior light fixtures to both members of trade and residential customer.
The Circa Lighting retail space is a prime commercial property in the heart of Cady’s Alley and will complement the prominent home goods designer brands already located in the retail corridor, including Donghia, Baker, Contemporaria, Design Within Reach, Boffi/Maxalto, Waterworks, Poggenpohl, Janus et Cie and the recently added Calligaris home store. The EastBanc and Jamestown Georgetown Renaissance portfolio also includes home furnishings retailers CB2 and West Elm with Calypso St. Barth and Steven Alan also offering habitat merchandise.

The portfolio also includes boutique office space and 16 luxury rental apartments. Georgetown Renaissance consists of more than 300,000 square feet across 17 properties in Georgetown and one property in Alexandria, Virginia, and it includes the area commonly referred to as Cady’s Alley. The two companies are working on an additional 30,000 square feet of new leases within the portfolio.
