ARLINGTON: Palette 22 Debuts Weekend Brunch Service in March

Alexandria Restaurant Partners (ARP) has announced the launch of Saturday and Sunday brunch service March 5th and 6th at their newest dining concept, Palette 22, located in the heart of The Village at Shirlington at 4053 Campbell Avenue.  Brunch will be served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the 206-seat restaurant where guests will engage their visual senses and culinary palate, while watching arts at work along with chefs cooking in an open-theater kitchen.
 
Brunch-goers can anticipate the unique combination of food, art and fun, focusing on modern street food small plate dishes with an international flair that highlights diverse and flavorful culinary traditions and key ingredients. ARP Corporate Executive Chef Graham Duncan’s new brunch menu includes flat breads, sliders, tacos, and signature dishes such as the Fried Eggplant Flatbread with roasted garlic, mozzarella, tomatoes, and olives; Bacon & Eggs Flatbread with pork belly, caramelized onions, and smoked cheddar; Cuban Sliders with pulled pork, sweet ham, pickles, and Swiss cheese; Tacos Vampiros with skirt steak, Serrano rajas, avocado, chipotle salsa, and queso cotija; Patatas Bravas, harissa spice fried potatoes with garlic aioli; Vietnamese Rice Crepe with shrimp, bean sprouts, eggs, and herbs, and Tamales with carnitas, chipotle salsa or sweet corn and rajas, and crema.

Also available are a selection of brunch classics with an international twist such as Æbleskiver, Danish pancake puffs with spiced maple syrup; Garden Frittata with seasonal vegetables and parmesan-egg custard; Arepas Benedict with pork belly, poached egg, avocado, and chipotle hollandaise; Tony’s French Toast Sticks, brioche with frosted corn flakes and Nutella fudge sauce, as well as Basque-Style Baked Egg with grilled chorizo, sweet peppers, spicy tomato sauce, and onions. Brunch menu items range in price from $5 to $9.

For the perfect beverage pairing, diners will enjoy weekend-centric craft cocktails as well as Palette 22’s signature authentic Spanish Red or White Sangria with Spanish brandy, gin, apples, oranges, limes, and lemons available by the glass for $6.50 or by the bottle for $23. Signature brunch cocktails include Kiwi Corps Reviver with Citadelle gin, Lillet Blanc, kiwi, cucumber and ginger syrups, and soda; Peach Ginger Fizz with Tanqueray Sterling vodka, prosecco, crème de peche, ginger syrup, and lemon juice; Hemingway Breakfast with Bacardi rum, Pernod Sastis, grapefruit juice, and lime juice; and a ‘Design Your Own’ Bloody Mary,where guests check boxes on the Bloody Mary order form and bartenders create the drink to the brunch-goers specifications, and Mimosa with a juice of your choice including mango nectar, peach nectar, orange, cranberry, and pineapple. Mimosa refills are priced at $3.22 each and cocktails range in price from $8 to $12 each.

Lunch is served Monday through Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. 
Dinner is served Sunday through Thursday, from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., Friday, from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Saturday, from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. 
Happy Hour is served Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
