David von Storch’s Urban Adventures Companies, Inc. (UAC) is spearheading a company-wide fundraising initiative in response to last weekend’s horrific mass shootings in Orlando. As a gay business owner, David is passionate about taking the lead on efforts to bring comfort and support to those affected by the attacks. Beginning today, all of UAC’s affiliate businesses are rolling out fundraising efforts and broadcasting each initiative with the #PULSELOVE white ribbon hashtag on video screens throughout VIDA Fitness locations. Proceeds are being donated to Equality Florida. These efforts are also to inspire other DC-area businesses to join in the support.

Below are specifics of what each UAC company is overseeing:
  • Capitol City Brewing Company -- Cap City will donate $0.75 for each of its four core beers sold for the week beginning Friday June 17th.
  • VIDA Fitness -- VIDA will match dollar for dollar every contribution made by a VIDA members to the Pulse Victims Fund up to $10,000.00. Also, VIDA will host a special candlelight vigil and moment of silence during it’s Ten Year Anniversary Celebration this Saturday night at 10:00 p.m. on the Penthouse Pool Club rooftop.
  • Bang Salon – on Sunday, July 17, Bang is hosting an all-day Cut-A-Thon and will donate 100% of proceeds for every hairstyling appointment.
  • Sweatbox – On Saturday, June 18, SweatBox will donate 100% of proceeds of every spot reserved for each class session.
