CITYCENTERDC: Chef Meredith Tomason Offering an End of Summer Menu at RareSweets

Meredith Tomason, pastry chef and owner of RareSweets in CityCenterDC has released some new seasonal items, taking advantage of the last of summer’s bounty. New cookies, ice cream flavors, seasonal cakes and a special edition ‘peach sundae’ are on the menu: 
Chocolate Peanut Mini Cake
  • Peach Bourbon Cake: Peach cake, peach jam, bourbon buttercream ($6 per slice)
  • Blueberry Nutmeg Cake: Nutmeg Cake with fresh blueberries and vanilla bean orange blossom icing ($6 per slice)
  • Maple Raspberry Cake: Maple Cake with Fresh raspberries, maple buttercream ($6 per slice)
  • Lemon Blackberry Mini Cake: Lemon Cake with blackberry jam and lemon buttercream ($6.50 per mini cake)
  • Chocolate Peanut Mini Cake: Chocolate Cake, Peanut Pastry Cream, Chocolate Icing, peanut brittle ($6.50 per mini cake)
  • *New Cookies: Tall, Dark, and Handsome - dark chocolate cookie with milk chocolate chips and Hillary's Oatmeal Choc Chip ($2.25 per cookie)
