MVT: Visiting 'The Meridian at Mount Vernon Triangle' - Phase II

The Meridian at Mt. Vernon Triangle - Phase II, at 415 L Street NW, had its topping off ceremony the first week of February. This week I had the opportunity to 'hard-hat' tour the 2nd half of the hip and chic apartment building in Mount Vernon Triangle.
The Meridian at Mt. Vernon Triangle, a 390 apartment building, located at 425 L Street NW, has been open for nearly 2 years and has maintained an upper 90% occupancy rate, so its no surprise that Phase II, which will provide 393 more apartments to the campus, will have the same feel, and expand on the success of the original when it opens for leasing in September 2014(projected)

Phase II, like the original, will also be 14 story's and have 3 levels of parking (the parking will be connected to the original buildings parking garage) which will include numerous electric car charging stations and a bicycle repair station. The alley between the two structures will stay and will also contain a large courtyard with a dog park taking up half of the open space between the buildings, with a pet grooming area off the corridor leading from the dog park to the lobby. The Meridian Phase I has an incredible social area and pool on the roof, and this will be expanded to the roof of Meridian Phase II. A 14' wide bridge will connect the 2 buildings extending the deck and adding fire pit's, a grilling area and an outdoor television viewing area.

There will be a separate lobby for Phase II. This is located on the corner of L and 4th Street's. Like the lobby in Phase I there will also be access to the lobby from NY Avenue. Also like Phase I, there will be a gym, viewing the space/layout for this amenity it has to be one of the largest 'in-apartment building' gyms in the city. Huge windows and a multi-level design feature. The raised level will feature a yoga/spin studio, the main level will contain all the fitness hardware.

Paradigm, the developer of the Meridian campus, have punched all the right button's in providing quality living with quality amenities for its residents. Phase II will enhance and expand its reputation of a 'hip & chic' lifestyle in Mount Vernon Triangle.
