Chef Cedric Maupillier Restaurant, at City Market at O, Posts Permit

So now we know more about the locally anticipated Restaurant at City Market at O, from Chef Cedric Maupillier and Saied Azali  located, at the corner of 8th and O Streets NW.  The (ABRA) permit  is up and so we have a little more information;

The restaurant as described on the permit application is for a restaurant (working name Convivial) serving American Food, and consisting of Interior, Summer Garden and Sidewalk Cafe.

Summer Garden: 54 seats
Exterior/Sidewalk Cafe: 10 seats
(Total Load is given as 170 seats)

Open Hours:
Sunday thru Thursday; 7.30am till 2am
Friday & Saturday; 7.30am till 3am

Update 8/28 - According to the ANC "Owners have agreed to close outdoor seating at midnight nightly to conform with ANC 6E standard, and not have any outdoor music." 

Entertainment (piped music)with a possibility of a DJ, and a Live Band once a month. From 6pm till closing.

I am guessing that the Sidewalk Cafe will be 'ala Starbucks' on O Street NW and the Summer Garden will be the large corner space facing 8th Street and also O Street.

Whatever the configuration, I can't wait for this restaurant to open
