SHAW: The Colonel Announces 2 New Retail Spot's - Pizza!! & Pastries!!

The Colonel, apartment building at the corner of 9th and N Streets NW have some new(first) tenants coming. Both will provide something that we do not have at the South End of Shaw.

Tiffany MacIsaac's announced that she's opening Buttercream Bakeshop and that was quickly followed by reports that the owners from The Red Hen and Boundary Stone will partner on a restaurant called All Purpose in Shaw. The restaurant will specialize in pizza and there will also be charcuterie, some Italian entrees and bruschetta. Expect a late 2015 opening.

The Washington City Paper broke the news yesterday (3/12/15) stating;

"The Red Hen owners Michael Friedman, Michael O’Malley, and Sebastian Zutant are teaming up with Boundary Stone owners Gareth Croke and Colin McDonough to open an Italian-American restaurant focused around pizza. The place will be called All Purpose"
