Drive Through Art Gallery at Naylor Court (or you can walk)

Updated 6/28/2013 Correction to accreditation: Dazel Todd was the only artist with three pieces on display, I had wrongly accredited "Queen of the World" to another artist. My apologies to Dazel Todd for the error.

I have checked the tags as they appeared in my (pre-edited) photographs and indeed a number of the artworks had their accreditation's "rearranged" - I have gone to each artists online studio (Facebook, Website etc) to ensure that all accreditation's are correct. The marvelous artworks below, have the correct accreditation attached as of today. To all the artists involved, it was never our intent to mis-represent you or your work, which we admire and cherish.

6/20/2013:  This event is now over, and the artworks removed
Drive Through Art Gallery - View of Naylor Court from 9th Street NW towards 10th Street
Artworks provide by RAWartists/DC lines Naylor Court Alley between 9th & 10th Streets NW as part of Lincoln Motor Company's "Hello Again" event/promotion featuring a grouping of interesting "undiscovered cultural gems, hidden spaces and pioneering creators" and of course you are driven around in a new Lincoln. The event started on June 6th and goes through June 16th. If you don't want to be driven around town, then just walk over to Naylor Court and check out the artworks.
The drive through gallery features works by J'Nell Jordan, Chris Soto, Yordan Silvera and Dazel Todd. The gallery runs the length of the alley from 9th Street NW (enter by Sundevich) to 10th Street, and its a pleasant stroll to complete the viewing. If you can't make the trip, here are examples from each featured artist;
Piece by Yordan Silvera
One of two works by Chris Soto
One of two works by J'Nell Jordan
"Queen of the World" one of three pieces from Dazel Todd
At the 10th Street alley entrance
These (above) are just an example of the artwork, if you have the time, its worth going (and its free) to check out all the pieces, and of course you can always stop by Sundevich for a bite to eat, or Aziz Cafe for coffee. This is why I love Blagden Alley/Naylor Court, always a surprise to be had.

  2. Dazel, I have made the change on "Queen of the World"
    I have checked my photo's - all of the accreditation's where taken from the labels that were attached for each painting - I can only assume that some miscreant went around changing tags to the paintings. I can assure you that I would never mislabel an artists work intentionally. This blog is highly active in supporting local artists and art in general, I apologize for any mis-understanding. If any other pictures shown in this piece are incorrect, please let me know immediately so the corrections can be made
