As we reported earlier in the week, Crane #3, that's the one on L Street NW, at the Marriott Marquis would be removed this weekend. So early this morning, the tenuous job of dismantling the 14 story crane began. L Street NW between 9th and 10th was closed to traffic and the 'daredevil' crew started work, the result is graphically shown below;
