Everything is 'On The UP' in Shaw

So I was walking about today and realized that 3 (there I go again with 3's) of the projects that I have been following are on the way up...yes there is more going on in Shaw beside the City Market at O, so here is a small Gallery of Photographs;

9th & N Street NW

The Old 'Fight Club' is now just a memory as the digging is finished and the rising of a new condo/retail building with 70 residential units and approximately 8,200 square feet of ground floor retail has reached ground level.
At Ground Level, the new buildings are slated for a Fall 2014 opening
The old 'Fight Club' building has been saved and incorporated into the new building (left)

The Gang of Three

The demo is done, and the building up has begun. Still no sign of a replacement for the destroyed stable, but everything else looks on track.
Up it goes, skeleton of the Gang of Three
Steel Beams and nerves of steel
Bring on the heavyweight equipment

1232-34 10th Street NW

Suzane Reatig Architecture development on 10th Street has taken no time to reach for the sky....The 2 Townhouses, will consist of 4 units with 4 parking spaces. Each unit will be two levels, have double height living spaces, 3 bedrooms, very large private outdoor terrace/roof deck......still the tidiest building site I have ever seen.
Both Units have reached new heights

From the rear, more than you expect, when you look at the 10th Street view.
So 3 excellent smaller projects in Shaw are well on their way. File Under: Things to look forward to.

  1. Any new information on when La Colombe is scheduled to open?

    1. Unfortunately no, they have had some "minor" issues with DC permitting, that has slowed down the process. Hopefully I will have an update sometime next week.

  2. La Colombe came to the Blagden Alley Naylor Court meeting last night (Manager Greg Smith) and explained they hope to be open within a month (by XMAS). This is their first time in DC and their most extensive renovation. We are all very excited!
