From Mud Hole to $1mil + . Two Properties in Shaw

Two properties that we have been following since the blog started are near to completion, so lets have another look at them. They both list (or will list) in excess of $1 million.

939-941 M Street NW
What was private property used as neighborhood dog park. The vacant lot suddenly became a big muddy hole at the beginning of the year, and the subject of much speculation. Still 12 months or so on, the space has become 4 x 4Br Units (in 2 Townhouses) that fit in the neighborhood. They are getting close to completion and the price is posted.
Early shot of the construction at 939-941 M Street NW
Stairs going in, brick facing being applied (the rear is complete)
And the price.........low $1ms
The Stables at Naylor Court ( 1321 - 1325 Naylor Court NW)
OK so we have followed this property and written much about its progress. Today I went by and found that all the wire fencing and building detritus had gone, the red brick of the alley replaced, all the external extra's installed. As you can see by the pictures this is about done. Looks like the developer OPal has returned the alley to the residents, and are now concerned with the interior finishings and the rear/exterior....take a look at the photographs, looks like it has been part of the alley for years.......
Construction begins earlier this year

Developer OPaL managed to maintain the alley feel with good use of 'historic" extras
The rear exterior still needs manicuring, and the addition of the Motor Court gate
The town houses are already on the market, OPaL web site has Lot 1 reserved and Lots 2 & 3 at a price that is north of $1.5 million each.
