Menu|MBK's Kitchen Announces Themed Menu's for October and November

October and November menus for Menu|MBK's Kitchen, will be Russian and
Vegetarian Thanksgiving themed, respectively.
For October's menu, Executive Sous Chef Aleksandr Felikson pays homage to his home country of Russia with his take on some of the country's iconic dishes, along with cocktail and beverage pairings.
In November, Chef Frederik de Pue will offer a vegetarian take on the traditional Thanksgiving meal featuring seasonal produce.

As always, the cost is $65/person, and pairings are available upon request for an additional $45/person.

October 2014, Russia Menu

Salad 'Olivea' with peas, carrot brunoise, egg, potato foam
Drink pairing: 'Rassol', pickle juice, Stolichnaya

Borsch with white beets, potato
Drink pairing: 'Kvas', smoked fruit compote, Stolichnaya

Pierogi with taro root, sour cream, puffed chicken skins, caramelized onions
Drink pairing: Pale Lager, Klinkskoye Svetloe, Russia

Beef Stroganoff with crispy vermicelli, mushrooms
Drink pairing: 'Russian Caravan', iced Lapsang Souchong, honey, Stolichnaya

Tort Kiev with pastry cream, meringue, jam
Drink Pairing: 'White Russian', cream, coffee, Stolichnaya

Brussels Sprouts Salad with caramelized endive, grapefruit dressing, pine nut foam

Squash Veloute with chestnut stuffing, "toad in a hole" pumpkin seeds

Sweet Potato - Ginger Souffle with smoked spinach, curry crumble

Cauliflower "a l'orange" with black trumpet mushroom, cranberry candy

Bosc Pear Tarte Tatin with vanilla bourbon, flambé
