Update 6/14/2013: Photographs
Building continues, and the rising. Just a few photographs of the progress......
Rear View does not feel like a small width building
Side View - not sure if windows will be cut?
Front View - already above neighboring property
Apparently a 4 Unit Condo has begun construction at 1306 8th Street NW. between N and O Streets NW. I have not been able to find much information on this project, in fact, the best I have been able to find, dates back to 2009 (ref: HRPB Minutes for February 2009) and an article from The InTowner (also February 2009) I will keep researching, and update accordingly.
Very slim width, but also very deep
Posted Building Permit appears in order
Personally, I hope this is not the beginning of a trend of stuffing multi-unit condos & apartments into tiny spaces.
Work progresses with the framing of the sub level
No idea why the entrance to the site is tree/shrub covered. The workers pulled the fencing down to gain access - strange!
Update 06/20/2013. Seems that the building process is full steam ahead! Starting to get a feel for size and layout.
What a difference a week makes - lower floor - in!
The bulk of what you see will be below street level
Floor installed, work progressing upward
