New Small Condo Construction on 8th Street NW

Building continues, and the rising. Just a few photographs of the progress......

Apparently a 4 Unit Condo has begun construction at 1306 8th Street NW. between N and O Streets NW. I have not been able to find much information on this project, in fact, the best I have been able to find, dates back to 2009 (ref: HRPB Minutes for February 2009) and an article from The InTowner (also February 2009)  I will keep researching, and update accordingly.
Very slim width, but also very deep
The building space is very similar to the recently approved 1505 9th Street NW (which has a 14 ft property width) which is also preparing to build a 4 Unit Condo. It appears that they have the correct building permit, so there must be info out there somewhere (if you know more about this please contact us)

Personally, I hope this is not the beginning of a trend of stuffing multi-unit condos & apartments into tiny spaces.

Update 6/14/2013:
Work progresses with the framing of the sub level

No idea why the entrance to the site is tree/shrub covered. The workers pulled the fencing down to gain access - strange!
Update 06/20/2013. Seems that the building process is full steam ahead! Starting to get a feel for size and layout.
