It was August when
I last updated the report on AAMC building at 655 K Street NW. A lot has happened since then, and you now have a really good 'feel' for how the finished product will look. I went by the site yesterday, and the work/renovation of the preserved houses is now well on the way and what looked a little odd at first look, now looks like a wonderful addition to the streetscape on K Street.
Here are the photographs, not much commentary needed.....

The Association of American Medical Colleges new HQ looks really nice with its cut-out corners and curves, the preservation of the small houses not only adds interest to the streetscape but is a reminder of the past and that DC will not become a city of just glass and concrete. Clark Construction have done a great job all round.
