WASHINGTON DC: Astro Doughnuts Halloween and Election Menu Specials

Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken will offer a Halloween Mini Box of doughnuts, available on October 28, 29 and 31 at both their Downtown DC and Falls Church locations. They will also be available on October 30, via preorder only. They are $22 each and include: 2 Crème Brûlée mini doughnuts, 2 Candy Apple mini doughnuts, 2 Chocolate glazed mini doughnuts with Halloween sprinkles, candy corn and marshmallow pumpkins, 3 Vanilla glazed mini doughnuts (with Halloween sprinkles, candy corn and marshmallow pumpkins) and 3 Pumpkin glazed mini doughnuts (with Halloween sprinkles, candy corn and marshmallow pumpkins).

Immediately after Halloween, Astro will add special edition election doughnuts** to their menu, available between November 1 and 8. The flavors are inspired by foods enjoyed by both candidates and include a Spicy Hot Chocolate doughnut in honor of Hillary Clinton, who is known to be a fan of chocolate and reportedly eats a hot pepper every day. The Spicy Hot Chocolate is a chocolate cake doughnut with chocolate Chipotle glaze and a “D” piped on top, available for $2.85. It has been reported that Donald Trump enjoys cherry vanilla ice cream and Diet Coke, and Astro will offer the Vanilla Cherry Coke doughnut: a pillow yeast doughnut filled with cherry compote and Cherry Vanilla Coke glaze, with an “R” piped on top. It will be available for $3.10.
