SHAW: Chaplin’s Restaurant Hosts Santa for Family Pictures and Holiday Festivities – Proceeds to Benefit Bread for the City

Chaplin’s Restaurant is on the Nice List this year as the Shaw neighborhood restaurant hosts Santa Claus for family pictures and holiday festivities , and all the proceeds go to benefit Bread for the City.
Hey Shaw you better watch out! Santa Claus is coming to Chaplin’s Restaurant. On Friday, December 18 and Saturday, December 19 meet Santa Claus, take Polaroid –or Instagram- photos and enjoy Christmas cocktails (non-alcoholic available). On both evenings from 5p.m.-7p.m. and 8p.m.-10p.m., kids of all ages can pose with Santa and tell him their Christmas wishes. While pictures are free, Santa and Chaplin’s will be collecting donations for Bread for the City, the local Shaw neighborhood non-profit organization that provides vulnerable DC residents with comprehensive aid including food, clothing, medical, legal and social services.
Christmas cocktails will be available in addition to Chaplin’s regular Happy Hour deals. Holiday drinks include Spiced Butternut Squash ($7) featuring cognac, calvados, apple brandy and lemon; served hot with a mace dusting and Thai Chili Raw Cacao Hot Chocolate ($7) featuring trickling springs cream and gold dust.
For those under 21 mocktails like hot mulled House Made Apple Cider ($5) with Irish butter will be available.
