ROSSLYN: JBG SMITH Announces Legends as Operator of the Observation Deck at Central Place in Rosslyn

JBG SMITH Properties (NYSE:JBGS), a leading owner of high-quality, mixed-use properties located in the Washington, DC market, announced today that Legends has been selected as the operator for the observation deck at the office tower at Central Place in Rosslyn, VA. The 31-story, mixed-use building is one of the tallest buildings in the region. Located at the corner of Wilson Blvd and N. Moore and Lynn Streets, the mixed-use tower will provide panoramic views across D.C., Maryland and Virginia from 390 feet.

The 12,000 square foot observation deck will feature an outdoor cantilevered terrace, exciting and educational exhibits, a full food and beverage program and be the only of its kind in the immediate Washington, DC area. The Observation Deck will be open to the general public and available to rent for private events.

“The Observation Deck at Central Place is a game changer for Rosslyn that lets us share our best views with the public,” said Matt Ginivan, Senior Vice President of JBG SMITH. “Washington, DC offers some of the most iconic landmarks in the nation, and thus far residents and visitors have had limited venues from which to enjoy the breadth of monuments and landscapes. Our partnership with Legends to operate the Observation Deck at Central Place ensures a 360-degree experience.”

Legends has redefined the role of a turnkey “service provider” and sets a new expectation within the industry, providing an integrated solution for partners and creating a dynamic atmosphere for guests that is enhanced at every major touchpoint throughout their journey. They currently represent some of the nation’s most popular venues and stadiums, including the observation deck at One World Observatory in New York. “Together with JBG SMITH Properties, we look forward to bringing their vision to life for locals, domestic and international visitors to the Washington D.C. area,” said Mike Tomon, Legends Chief Operating Officer.

The office tower at Central Place is a graceful presence of steel and glass, capped by a dramatic observation deck. It is 31 stories of inspiring architecture created by the award-winning firm Beyer Blinder Belle. Office space begins 75 feet above street level, on the eighth floor and totals 525,000 square feet. Construction of Central Place is expected to be complete in Q2 2018.

Central Place is an exciting mixed-use development in Rosslyn, where easy access meets soaring architecture and magnificent space that will offer over 45,000 square feet of inspiring dining and retail space with a built-in clientele both living and working onsite. An outdoor public plaza offering seating, shade, and a robust programming schedule promises to serve as the heart Rosslyn.
