Once home to Dwight D. Eisenhower, Lyndon B. Johnson, Herbert Hoover, and Marlene Dietrich, the nine-story, historic building resting at the corner of Connecticut Avenue and Woodley Road, NW was built in 1928 by famed developer Harry Wardman. He partnered with Mihran Mesrobian to design the building, an architect also known for designing the Hay Adams Hotel and the St. Regis Hotel in Washington D.C. Recognized for its distinctive architectural style, the Wardman Tower, a Georgian Revival building, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Working to maintain the Wardman Tower’s original aesthetic, restoration experts reintroduced the original window configurations, balconies and doors. Thousands of square feet of the façade were reappointed with brick, cast iron, stone and metal to match the grandeur of Harry Wardman’s original vision. The updated residence features rooftop terraces with 360 degrees of monument viewing, a 2,000-square-foot state-of-the-art fitness center and yoga studio, two clubrooms, a private outdoor garden, and a two-level belowground garage.
