Washington Convention Center Finally Marketing their Retail Space

The Walter E Washington DC Convention Center has posted 'Lease' posters on their retail properties on 9th Street and N Street NW.

Long viewed by residents as a retail dead zone, WCC seem to be upping their marketing efforts for their vacant properties. Gone a while back, Aboa Mazda Goldsmith, and more recently Chatman's Bakery, the retail prospects looked gloomy at 9th & N Street. On Monday the cleaning crews started 'sprucing up' the spaces, today the posters are plastered on the windows of all vacant retail spaces.

I have been remiss in not mentioning that the 'lease' posters are also posted on a smaller number of retail spaces on the 7th Street side of the WCC. It seems that there are approximately 10 retail properties available, covering 9th, 7th and N Streets, that's a lot of possible revenue for WCC and the city. I have checked the Rappaport web page, but no listing for the WCC is up as yet. I will monitor and update as I get more information
