THE WHARF: The Wharf To Host American Odyssey Relay Race and the Running Of The Chihuahuas May 2 and 3
Hoffman-Madison Waterfront, the master developer of the 24-acre world-class, mixed-use, waterfront community The Wharf in Southwest Washington, D.C., today announced they will host the finish line of the annual American Odyssey Relay Race and the annual Running of the Chihuahuas on May 2 and May 3, respectively.
The American Odyssey Relay Race is a 200-mile relay race from Gettysburg to Washington, D.C. that ends with a final run over the Key Bridge into Virginia and then back over the 14th Street Bridge before finishing at the The Wharf. The Running of the Chihuahuas is a family-friendly benefit event for animal charities throughout the region. Along with Chihuahua races, there will also be all-breed contests for best-dressed and best trick. All pet competitors must have up-to-date vaccinations and leashed when not racing.
