14TH & U: TICO Announces Special Menu for Cinco De Mayo

To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, Tico will run a variety of celebratory food and drink specials on the evening of Tuesday, May 5th.

For dinner, Executive Chef George Rodrigues will prepare a special menu of dishes influenced by Latin American cooking styles. The special selections range in price from $12-$16. Below is the full list of featured dishes for the evening:

  • Chicken Quesadilla with Parmesan and Sundried Tomato Aioli $12
  • Mushroom Quesadilla with Manchego and Black Olive Salsa $14
  • Lobster Tostada with Avocado Mousse and Pickled Red Onions $16
  • Barbecue Shrimp Tostadas with Refried Beans and Roasted Garlic Aioli $14
  • Chipotle Flank Steak with Zucchini, Goat Cheese and Radish $14
To complement the offerings, the bar team has created special tequila cocktails, including margaritas with an added spring touch of passion fruit and fresh mint ($10), agua fresca spiked with tamarind fruit, making a balanced cocktail with sweet and tart flavors ($9) and paloma porrons, one of chef/owner Michael Schlow's favorites, made with tequila, lime and grapefruit soda for $19.
