UNION MARKET: Barkly and The Big Bad Woof Announce 2nd Annual Woofstock - August 6
Barkly, The Big Bad Woof, and DC Pavilion are proud to announce the second annual Woofstock, a festival celebrating the dogs and dog lovers of the DC metro area. The event will feature a line-up of award winning bands, craft beer by Raven Brewery, local food trucks, exclusive treats, giveaways, and a special animal adoption event with the recently merged Washington Humane Society and Washington Animal Rescue League.
Woofstock will be held at DC Pavilion (1399 5th St NE) on August 6th 2016 from 3-7 pm.
Woofstock is an annual festival established in 2015 by Barkly, the East Coast’s leading pet- technology company, to create a unique pet-friendly experience for animal lovers and celebrate and promote animal compassion, welfare, and education.

Barkly is a Washington D.C. based technology company. Barkly’s software and smartphone app enable pet owners to schedule or arrange on-demand pet professionals in a few taps. Customers are matched with local, background-checked, and highly trained dog walkers to take out their dog in as little as 60 minutes notice. Barkly ensures security with pick-up/drop-off notifications, detailed walk reports including GPS map of route, ability to rate the walk/experience, and encrypted cash-less transactions. Barkly's services launched in June 2015 and they are available throughout the DC metro area, Baltimore, and Philadelphia.
The Big Bad Woof is a community resource for companion animals, committed to providing healthy premium & raw frozen diets, and eco-friendly products for dogs, cats, small mammals and birds. With storefronts in Takoma DC and Hyattsville, Md, The Big Bad Woof is a pet supply resource for pet guardians in the area. In 2014, The Big Bad Woof launched a first-of-its-kind Store-to-Door delivery service, covering the whole of the metropolitan DC area.
DC Pavilion, the newest outdoor beer garden and entertainment venue in Washington, DC, boasts the largest pet-friendly outdoor space in the city. With onsite beer vendors, a full kitchen, two stages, the venue spans over 50,000 square feet of event space. DC Pavilion is available for private parties/fundraisers, large and small (www.dcpavilion.com).
