New Japanese Restaurant Planned at 733 10th Street NW

Announced today, by Atlanta based real estate investment and management company Jamestown Properties. The pre-built restaurant space on the street level of 733 10th Street NW (corner of 10th Street and G Place NW) has been vacant since Skanska USA sold the property to Jamestown Properties in April 2012.
The Japanese eatery 'Umaya' has signed a 10 year lease to occupy the restaurant space. Umaya is the latest venture from the owners of  Cafe Asia. (17th & I Streets)

 According to the Press Release the new restaurant will be/offer;
"Umaya is a contemporary Japanese izakaya restaurant that promises to delight diners with a unique menu and lively ambiance. From the freshest sushi and maki rolls, to trendy Japanese street food favorites such as ramen, ishiyaki (hot stone) grilled skewers, and izakaya style small plates, to traditional Japanese fine-dining cuisine"
and that
"........will move into the 3,946-square-foot, street-level space by early February with a slated grand opening set for July 4, 2014. "
