Quick Shots #53: Making Traffic Changes around Marriott Marquis
So expect to see a number of story's on things "Marquis" over the coming few weeks, as everything comes together.
This weekend DDOT and the Marriott Marquis folks really turned up the action on the streets around the new hotel. 9th Street NW, between L Street and Mass Ave were re-striped, L Street between 9th and 10th Streets was re-striped to reveal its new 2-way configuration. Traffic lights were added all over....and the work continues (10th Street between L and Mass Ave turning into 2-way) Below are some photographs and a few others of the plantings going on.
OK that's enough on traffic patterns....now some photographs of the sidewalks, trees etc.
I guarantee there will be more comments and photographs before the Marriott Marquis opens on May 1st, keep checking back.
