SHAW: Shaw Community Day at Kennedy Recreation Center - Saturday November 7

The Mayor's Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs (MOAPIA), along with MPD, DPR and community partners such as Friends of Kennedy Playground and Bread for the City, is hosting Shaw Community Day at the Kennedy Recreation Center on Saturday, November 7, 2015.
This is part of the “Out of Many Culture, One Community” initiative to help build the relationship in the community and bridge cultural gaps to create a healthy, safe, and cordial living environment for all.

  • There will be a lot of fun activities for everyone from kids to seniors:
  • Thai Chi
  • Tae Kwon Do demonstration
  • Senior walk and talk program
  • Digger and police cruiser for kids to explore
  • Food and refreshments
Beside fun activities, there will be resources from government agencies and community partners.

Come meet your neighbors and enjoy food, music, cultural performances, games, and much more!
It all starts at 11am and continues until 2pm - November 7th.
