NYC: Chef Tim Ma to Host 'DC Casual Luxury' James Beard Dinner in NYC - Friday, September 18th - Ma's 1st Solo Dinner at James Beard House

On Friday, September 18th celebrated Virginia-based Chef/Restaurateur Tim Ma, Chef Nyi Nyi Myint, and notable Sommelier Neal Wavra of FABLE Hospitality will be teaming up to host their D.C. Casual Luxury dinner at the prestigious James Beard House in New York City, Ma's first solo dinner at the James Beard House.
Priced at $130pp for members, and $170pp for the general public, and beginning at 7:00pm with a cocktail reception with passed hors d'oeuvre's, guests will enjoy a creative multi-course tasting menu crafted by Chefs Tim Ma and Nyi Nyi Myint featuring hand selected wine pairings with each course provided by Sommelier Neal Wavra.
The menu will feature dishes that merge Ma's French and Asian flavors, a signature taste of the creative cuisine found at his Virginia-based eateries.
"I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to cook at the Beard House in NYC last September amongst a group of extremely talented fellow chefs from Virginia, and now I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to host my first solo dinner at the Beard House in NYC this month", said Chef/Restaurateur Tim Ma of Tim Ma Restaurant Group. "Tim Ma Restaurant Group has quite a few exciting culinary projects opening this fall including Chase the Submarine - a creative sandwich shop and butcher shop - in Vienna, VA in October, and our first restaurant to open in Washington DC as well in November 2015, so this dinner will give us a chance to really push ourselves as we gear up to bring additional culinary eateries to life in the DC area."
