I had to split the articles on La Colombe yesterday in two - apologies. Yesterday's visit from Owner, Brewer Todd Carmichael certainly attracted many visitors, but the regulars who visit La Colombe have seen the cafe grow and mature since its opening in February. Now summer is here and a walk in the alley's of Shaw is a popular thing to do. The history remains, throughout all the construction and some of the additions, street art, make a visit always an interesting trip. So its nice that you can also stop in at the converted stable, that is now La Colombe, for a coffee, and to relax during DC's hot summer days. Greg Smith, the manager at La Colombe in Blagden Alley has put together a space that is now a 'must visit' in Shaw. If you are a coffee connoisseur, or just want 'a cup of joe' this is the place that will complete your visit to Shaw.
