The Headquarters of AAMC (Association of American Medical Colleges) is now being populated, it will house a total of 600 workers (who I am sure will take advantage of the MVT and 7th Street NW restaurant's and amenities).
Most of the work on the building is complete, and the street-scape is almost done. The old (moved) buildings are taking shape, one seems to be ready for habitation, the one that had the front collapse has been rebuilt. The street-scape has been planted and the sidewalks open for the first time in close to 2 years. The sidewalks are in line with the improvement project that were completed and opened last June, and flat out, look great!! Here are some photographs of the neighborhoods new neighbor;

Overall, its obvious that much care was taken to create a building that fit on the cusp of Downtown and Mount Vernon Triangle (& Square) and the developer/architect certainly seems to have achieved this. Once the old NPR building is completed on the K Street NW side and Douglas Jamal's NY Ave project (hasn't started yet) is complete then the western access to MVT will look spectacular.
Nice Job AAMC.....and welcome to the neighborhood.
