U STREET: Lupo Verde Debuts An Extended “Aperitivo Hour” and Introduces A New Summer Picnic To Go

Lupo Verde, located in the bustling 14^th Street corridor at 1401 T Street, NW, is debuting a new early summer Aperitivo Hour menu featuring authentic, rustic, Italian fare with two small plate antipasti dishes, priced from $5 to $8, which are prepared by Executive Chef Domenico Apollaro.  Available Monday through Friday, Aperitivo Hour will begin at 3:30 PM to 6 PM exclusively at the bar and on the open-air patio.

Lupo Verde diners can enjoy Cuppitiello, crispy sardines, shrimp and zucchini with edible flowers and Meyer Lemon aioli, and the Patatona, rustic fried potatoes with house-made spicy ketchup.  For the perfect pairing, one can sip craft cocktails, beer and wine priced from $6 to $8. New seasonal cocktails to toast the warm weather include the Peppino, gin, limoncello, lemon juice, prosecco and orange bitters. Lupo Verde is also offering a wine, cheese and charcuterie plate for $10 during Aperitivo Hour.

Check this out!  Lupo Verde can create a picnic that is perfect for weekend travel to the countryside or winery visit.  One can enjoy a charcuterie platter with three meats and two cheeses that serves two for $30, and add on an 8-ounce jar of assorted house-pickled mushrooms or olives for $6.69, or pickled vegetables for $12. House-made Panni sandwiches are also available for $12 each made with Caciocavallo Silano Cheese from southern Italy, focaccia bread, prosciutto, lettuce and tomato. 48-hours’ notice is required and pick-up time is between 3:30 PM -6 PM.

Dinner is served seven days a week, from 5 PM to 11 PM.  Late night hours can also be enjoyed Sunday through Thursday, from 11 PM to 2 AM, and Friday and Saturday, from 11 PM to 3 AM.  Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday, from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
