LOGAN: Subteranean Cool - The Kingfisher Gets Ready to Open on 14th Street NW

A new bar is getting ready to open on 14th Street NW. Located below street level The Kingfisher will be "incredibly cool and cozy" say's co-owner Daniel Williams

"......it’s set up for people to mingle and interact. We’re putting together a great jukebox, and our TVs will be constantly be showing cool movies and shows of all genres. It’s going to be a really fun place, and I think we’ll fit right into the neighborhood"

The Kingfisher is located at 1414 14th Street NW, below the Sav-on-Liquor Store and will feature "beer and wine in cans" and really great cocktails" served by "staff are all long-time bartenders that know how to make people feel welcome and get them their drink as fast as humanly possible." Happy hour will be seven days a week, and they have can and shot combos that will be a great deal all day long.

"We don’t want to come off as a fancy cocktail bar and we aren’t trying to pretend we’re a gritty dive bar. We’re somewhere in between the two", states Daniel.

Along with Daniel Williams, formerly the GM of Iron Horse, is co-owner Ben Sislen, already in the neighborhood with Shaw Yoga and in Ivy City with Big Chief. The GM at Kingfisher will be Sam Buis who 'cut his teeth' at Jackpot and Iron Horse.
