SHAW: Espita Mezcaleria Debuts Its Mezcal Advent Calendar For Toasting the New Year
Josh Phillips and his team at Espita Mezcaleria, located in the Shaw neighborhood at 1250 9th Street, NW, invites guests to countdown to the 2017 New Year with their Mezcal Advent Calendar. Each day, from Monday, December 26th through Sunday, January 1st,
the Southern Mexican-inspired restaurant will reveal two of its staffs’
favorite mezcals, which will be available in six-ounce pours at a
discounted price. Among the list of festive mezcals for the season of
merriment are the Vago Espadin by Emigdio Jarquín; the La Venenosa Sierra Occidental Black; the La Venenosa Puntas; the Del Maguey Barril, and the El Buho.

- December 26th: El Buho priced at $18 and Alipus San Andres priced at $24 (regularly priced at $21 and $40 respectively)
- December 27th: Vago Espadin by Emigdio Jarquín priced at $27 and Real Minero Ensemble priced at $54 (regularly priced at $45 and $90 respectively)
- December 28th: La Venenosa Sierra Occidental Black priced at $30 and Mezcalero #2 Dobadaan priced at $51 (regularly priced at $50 and $85 respectively)
- December 29th: Siembra Metl Cupreata priced at $27 and La Venenosa Puntas priced at $54 (regularly priced at $45 and $90 respectively)
- December 30th: Rey Campero Jabalí priced at $42 and El Jolgorio Tobala priced at $51 (regularly priced at $70 and $85 respectively)
- December 31st: El Jolgorio Cuixe priced at $51 and La Venenosa Sierra del Tigre Orange priced at $45 (regularly priced at $85 and $82 respectively)
