U STREET: TICO Celebrates the Holidays & Annual "Stay In Your Pajamas Disco Brunch" on New Years Day

Tico will offer several special menu additions for the days leading up to the New Year (December 28th through January 1st) including a festive tasting menu experience called Feijoada Completa ($55 per person) which includes aji amarillo bass ceviche, cabbage salad, crispy pig ears, braised pork shank, braised pork belly and smoked tenderloin all in a rich black bean and ham hock stew. The meal will come with yucca crumble, fried yucca, orange salsa, sautéed greens and rice cakes.
Additional a la carte specials for the New Year’s holiday include:

Moqueca Baiana, $29, a Bahia style seafood stew) with rich coconut broth infused with palm oil, over fresh shrimp and scallops, garnished with hearts of palm, celery root and crispy bean cakes.

Churrascaria-Style Tartare, $16, a roasted beef marrow topped with short rib and beef heart tartare, bico peppers and spicy dende aioli.
Regular reservations will be taken for New Year’s Eve.

Debuting today and available through the season, the bar will be pouring a sweet potato nog ($12) made with sweet potato-infused cream, egg yolk, vanilla bean, nutmeg, saffron and Cotton & Reed dry spiced rum.

On New Year’s Day, TICO will host their annual "Stay In Your Pajamas Disco Brunch" with bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys for $25, from 10am-3pm on New Year’s Day. The restaurant’s brunch menu offers plenty of hangover friendly fare such as a Cubano Sandwich with pork confit, ham, pickled jalapeños and mustard, Cinnamon Raisin Stuffed French Toast, Spicy Fried Chicken, and more (full menu here). Guests are encouraged to wear pajamas, and there will be a special throwback disco soundtrack playing.
