LOGAN: Mardi Gras 2017 at Black Jack for 4 Days - Feb 25 to 28

The legendary Mardi Gras Fest returns to Black Jack Bar with several days of celebrations to begin with a debut party on Saturday, February 25 and culminating in a Fat Tuesday celebration. The festival includes the new, all-you-can-eat-and-drink Funk Brunch on Sunday. Drink specials will be available Saturday through Tuesday at both Black Jack and Tilt Sidebar where specialty food and cocktail menus will showcase a Jeff Black specialty - traditional New Orleans fare.

Eats include: lump crab-stuffed jumbo Gulf shrimp, crawfish po’boy with special TILT sauce, muffuletta sandwich sliders, fried gator bites and crawfish étouffée.

The cocktail menu features Nola favorites including the sazerac, gin fizz, Cajun lemonade and more. Discounted drink specials include hurricanes, shooters and other fun libations ubiquitous with Bourbon Street.

King Cakes will be available for pre-order online beginning February 1 to 25. Guests may select preferred date and time to pick up the colorful treats.
Black Jack will pass out a steady stream of beads and festive masks.

Saturday, February 25th, 2017:
Debut Mardi Gras Fest

Be the first to try the Mardi Gras menus at the debut party on Saturday. Drink specials include: Abita $2.50, $8 Hurricane or Irish coffee slushies, $5 jello shots, $5 test tube shots, and $10 Dickel or Tanqueray Collins Yard Drinks. All of George Sault’s specialty Mardi Gras cocktails will be $10.

After walking the red carpet and taking photos, Black Jack and TILT will greet guests with an ample supply of beads and masks.

Sunday, February 26th, 2017:
Mardi Gras Funk Brunch
12PM – 4PM
Tickets are $65 and available for purchase online.

Sunday Brunch is new to Black Jack’s Mardi Gras Fest and the perfect day party for weekend warriors. Tickets include all-you-can-drink and all-you-can-eat from the carnival of Creole cuisine including savory and sweet brunch bites includes po’boys, signature Eggs Pontchartrain, boudin sausage, grits and grillade, mini king cakes, and of course, a full raw bar with oysters on the half shell.

Live funk music to be provided by DC’s own Black Masala band.

Black Jack’s regular all-day-Sunday Happy Hour still applies. Mardi Gras drink specials continue from open to close.

Monday, February 27th, 2017:
Sazerac Party

The party continues Monday (for industry pros and otherwise) with a new mixology technique - spin the wheel of sazeracs and let chance decide the final syrups and spirits.

Drink specials continue from open to close.

Tuesday, February 28th:
FAT TUESDAY PARTY
6PM - Close

Revelers can step up to the massive ice luge and enjoy shareable portions of hurricanes while in mask and tossing beads. Local band SWAGFUNK returns for the second year in a row.
TILT will be open for this special occasion. Happy Hour and drink specials will run from throughout the evening.
