RESTON: Red’s Table Celebrates Oktoberfest with Beer & Brat Specials


Red’s Table, is excited to debut its Beer & Brat specials in celebration of the annual German folk festival, Oktoberfest. Guests can dine at Red's Table, from Saturday, September 16th through Tuesday, October 31st, as the restaurant brings a taste of Germany to the states, with traditional bratwurst specials created by Executive Chef Kevin Ettenson. These tempting German sausages will be paired with seasonal draft beers from local craft breweries, and will be available during lunch, dinner and happy hour daily.
Menu highlights include the Bratwurst, Knockwurst, or Debreziner Sausage on a house-made pretzel bun with house-made whole grain mustard and a choice of side, priced at $14, and availabile exclusively during lunch service. The Bratwurst, Knockwurst, or Debreziner with whole grain mustard and Rotessa sauerkraut, priced at $11, is available during lunch and dinner service while the German Sausage Platter featuring one Bratwurst, Knockwurst, and Debreziner Sausage with Rotessa sauerkraut, German potato salad, and house-made whole grain mustard, priced at $24, is available exclusively during dinner service. At Happy Hour, guests can enjoy a classic Bratwurst on a house made pretzel bun with whole grain mustard, priced at $8.

For the perfect pairing, guests can enjoy a selection of seasonal Oktoberfest beers on draft from local craft breweries in honor of the Bavarian festival. Participating breweries include: Center of the Universe Brewing Company in Ashland, Virginia; Old Bust Head Brewing Company in Warrenton, Virginia; Flying Dog Brewery in Frederick, Maryland and Old Ox Brewery in Ashburn, Virginia. Draft pints are priced at $7 each.

Oktoberfest is the world's largest Volksfest (beer festival and traveling funfair). Held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, it is a 16 to 18-day folk festival running from mid or late September to the first weekend in October, with more than six million people from around the world attending the event each year. Visitors enjoy numerous attractions, such as amusement rides, side-stalls and games, as well as a wide variety of traditional foods and beer. Oktoberfest began as the marriage ceremony between Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese on October 12, 1810, and Oktoberfest 2017 will mark the 210th anniversary of the festivities.
