BETHESDA: Urban Country Announces Move to New Location Right - Around the Corner

Bethesda’s home furnishings destination for the past 26 years is relocating to a new showroom on Arlington Road this coming January. After nine and a half years at their current location, Urban Country, the area’s most luxurious interior design & fine furnishings showroom, announced today that they are moving from 7117 Arlington Road to a new space at 7121 Arlington Road, formerly occupied by City Sports. The new, 6,000-square foot Urban Country is slated to open in January 2018.

The new Urban Country location will provide store visitors with the same shopping experience and a new, fresh design. Mollie Darby from Penney Design Group will lead the renovation of the new space, promising a more contemporary aesthetic. The new split-level store will include special workspace for Urban Country Windows, the retailer’s in-house custom window treatment services, as well as a loft area for corporate offices. Urban Country represents many popular luxury brands, including: Lee Industries, American Leather, Wesley Hall, Pine Cone Hill, Dash & Albert, Universal Furniture, Michael Aram and Piper Jack Home, Urban Country’s private label upholstery collection, and hundreds more.

“We are excited to present our patrons with Urban Country’s new contemporary showroom and are thrilled to have found a space within Bethesda Row that meets the growing needs of our customers while remaining in the community,” says Rachelle Roth, founder and owner.

In late October, Urban Country will begin the necessary build-out for its new showroom on Arlington Road with a grand opening celebration and anniversary event scheduled for early spring. The current Urban Country location at 7117 Arlington Road will remain open until the new store launches.
