STERLING: Burtons Grill & Bar Unveils Its New Beverage Program

Founder, President and CEO Kevin Harron is pleased to introduce the new seasonally-inspired beverage program at Burtons Grill & Bar, located within the Cascade Overlook development in Sterling.  The list of tempting libations is developed by Corporate Beverage Manager Chris Little and spearheaded by Sterling Beverage Manager Shane Crowe.  Guests can also look forward to an eclectic wine list emphasizing the major regions of the world, as well as a diverse draft and bottled beer list featuring domestic, imported, and local craft brews, and craft cocktails.  Additionally, happy hour is available Monday through Friday, from 3 PM to 7 PM, which includes $5 signature cocktails, house wine by the glass and draft beers.  Guests can also enjoy half price bottles of wine on Wednesdays until 9 PM.

Burtons Grill & Bar's craft cocktails highlight fresh seasonal fruits as well as locally sourced ingredients, perfect for pairing with the creative, chef-driven American fare.  16 house-made, specialty cocktails are available in four different categories: shaken, stirred, muddled, and pressed.  Shaken cocktail highlights include Sour Cherry Manhattan with Maker’s Mark, Grand Marnier, house- blended vermouth and cherry-vanilla bitters, garnished with a vermouth soaked cherry; Tangerine Drop with Stolichnaya Ohranj, all natural tangerine syrup, fresh lemon and white cranberry juice; Pumpkin Martini with Absolut vanilla, house-made pumpkin mix, fall spiced rim and bourbon whipped cream; Salted Caramel Apple with Jim Beam apple, salted caramel vodka, cider, white cranberry and caramel spiced rim.

 Stirred cocktail highlights include Burtons Mai Tai with Bacardi Black, amaretto, Gran Gala, fresh lime, pineapple juice and a mango-pineapple ice sphere; Autumn Madras Slush with Reyka vodka, all natural cranberry-tangerine syrup and fresh pressed orange juice; Orchard Sangria with Jim Beam apple, apple pie moonshine, Chardonnay, cider, house-made cherry-vanilla bitters and cranberry juice, garnished with a fall spiced rim; Cosecha with Olmeca Altos tequila, Bacardi Oakheart, Gran Gala, fresh lime, cider and cinnamon-honey syrup, garnished with a fall spiced rim, and the Margarita Pura withTres Agaves añejo, Gran Gala, fresh lime, fresh pressed orange juice and agave nectar, garnished with a agave-lime salted rim

  Muddled cocktails include Moscow Mules with Stolichnaya, muddled lime and ginger beer; Dublin Mule with Jameson Irish whiskey, muddled lime and ginger beer; Cuban Mule with Bacardi Oakheart spiced rum, muddled lime and ginger beer; Sanjito with Charles & Charles Cabernet-Syrah blend, mint, muddled limes, oranges, blueberries, Gran Gala and Bacardi Dragon Berry, and the Classic Mojito with Bacardi Silver, fresh lime, mint and cane syrup.
Pressed cocktails include Cortland with hard cider, Bulleit bourbon and maple syrup; Honeycrisp with hard cider, Bacardi Oakheart and cinnamon-honey syrup, and the Red Delicious with hard cider, Stoli Blueberi and pomegranate juice.  Craft cocktails range in price from $9 to $13.

Burtons Grill & Bar also features a selection of “After Dinner” cocktails and creative “Zero Proof” non-alcoholic list of beverages. After Dinner cocktails include Cold Brew Martini with cold brewed espresso-vanilla vodka, Kahlua and chilled espresso, available black or with cinnamon sugar and Baileys; Chocolate Punch with Remy Martin, ruby port, Godiva chocolate liqueur, cane sugar syrup, touch of cream and shaved bittersweet chocolate; Maple Buttermilk Flip with Maker’s Mark, buttermilk, egg, maple syrup and fall spiced rim; Derby Street Coffee with Kahlua, Baileys, Frangelico, whipped cream and a spiced sugar rim, and the Burtons Irish Coffee with Jameson Caskmates, brown sugar and chocolate stout cream.  “Zero Proof” cocktails include Craft Sodas such as black cherry, blood orange and classic root beer; Single Batch Lemonade includingclassic, half & half and shaken cranberry; Fresh Brewed Iced Tea includingunsweetened, sweet tea, mango, cinnamon-honey and pomegranate, as well as Cucumber Mint Sparkling Water.  After Dinner drinks range in price from $9 to $12.  Zero Proof cocktails range in price from $2.95 to $5.95.

The bar program at Burtons Grill & Bar offers a wide selection of red and white wines highlighting some of the world’s best known regions.  The expansive wine menu features 52 wines by the bottle, along with 21 wines by the glass.  Prices range from $7 to $14 by the glass, and $22 to $89 by the bottle.  Highlights include Cabernet Sauvignon, Annabella, Sonoma, CA; Malbec, The Show, Mendoza, Argentina; Pinot Noir,Belle Glos Meiomi, Sonoma, CA; Zinfandel, Beran, California; Chardonnay,Rombauer, Napa, CA; Pinot Grigio,Cielo, Veneto, Italy, Rose,Aimé Roquesante, France, and Sauvignon Blanc,Whitehaven, Marlborough, New Zealand. 
 
Local Beverage Manager Shane Crowe and Corporate Beverage Manager Chris Little have worked together to curate a unique list of draft and bottled beer, which features local craft beer, as well as domestic and imported favorites.  The beer menu boasts an extensive rotating seasonal draft menu, as well as 12 bottled beers including Starr Hill Seasonal, from Charlottesville, VA; Young Veterans Pineapple Grenade, from Virginia Beach, VA; Angry Orchard Cider, from Cincinnati, OH; Sam Seasonal, from Boston, MA; Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale, from Tadcaster, England; Harpoon IPA, from Boston, MA; Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, from Chico, CA; Devil’s Backbone 8 Point IPA, from Roseland, VA; Sam Adams Lager, from Boston, MA; Omission IPA Gluten Removed, from Portland, OR; Stella Artois, from Leuven, Belgium, and Blue Moon Belgian White, from Golden, CO.  Bottled beer ranges in price from $6 to $9.
