WASHINGTON DC: The Oval Room and 701 Restaurant to Debut Four Political-Themed Cocktails This Fall - Starts Sept 6th

Ashok Bajaj is pleased announce that two of his landmark power dining restaurants, 701 Restaurant and The Oval Room, will each debut two election-themed cocktails this fall.  Beginning Tuesday, September 6th, these award-winning restaurants will invite guests to show their support of the 2016 presidential candidates by casting their vote through ordering one of their signature cocktails.  All four cocktails are priced at $12 each and will be available from Tuesday, September 6th through Election Night on Tuesday, November 8th during both lunch and dinner service.  Additionally, both restaurants will be conducting informal polling weekly to see which cocktail is outselling its lively competitor. 
701 Restaurant, located at701 Pennsylvania Ave., NW with views of the Navy Memorial fountain and the National Archives, invites guests to sip two featured libations throughout the election season.  Guests can opt for the;
Make America Great Again, a combination of Moon Drop grape purée, spiced sorghum syrup and sherry vinegar, topped with soda and garnished with three grapes on the rim
or the

Just steps from the White House, The Oval Room, located at 800 Connecticut Ave., NW, will be pouring two election-themed cocktails. The Build That Wall is made from a combination of Muscat Grape purée, spiced honey syrup, Champagne vinegar, topped with soda and garnished with three grapes, while the Madam President is a combination of Cynar, lemon juice, Giffard Abricot, Angostura Rum and sparkling wine, topped with an orange twist.
