VIRGINIA: Mid-Harvest 'Sunday Best Concert' at Early Mountain Vineyards - Sept 11

To kick off the beginning of fall and mark the middle of the 2016 harvest season, Early Mountain Vineyards will host a “Sunday Best Concert,” a free concert and outdoor barbecue on Sunday, September 11. Guests are invited to enjoy grilled shawarma-style pit-roasted lamb prepared by the vineyard’s new executive chef, Ryan Collins, who joined the team earlier this year from José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup. In addition, the vineyard’s full Tasting Room menu, also overseen by Collins, will be available for purchase, and local Charlottesville band Chamomile & Whiskey will perform on the vineyard’s terrace overlooking Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. To showcase the wines of their current portfolio, Early Mountain will pour their Chardonnay, Five Forks, Rose, Foothills and Eluvium.

Food and wine will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and the band will play from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
