Bold Family Restaurant Group’s New Hybrid Fast Casual Concept to Bring the Best of Bold Bite, 202 Donuts and TapaBar to Golden Triangle
Bold Bite Market will open on September 25, 2017 at 1028 19th Street, NW, between L and K. The fast-casual scratch-kitchen market concept will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, hand spun milkshakes, fries and gourmet fresh and packaged offerings from sister brands 202 Donuts and TapaBar.
Lunch and dinner options include Bold Bite’s famous Certified Black Angus Hickory-Smoked Burgers and Split & Grilled DC Half-Smokes. Flexitarians and vegetarians also have lots to choose from including the satiating house- made falafel sandwiches and salads. Bold Bite’s salads and sandwiches are full of bold flavor, every ingredient is carefully curated and all sauces are made in-house.
“We built this concept knowing that convenience is king even amongst the very sophisticated palates of Washingtonians, so our customers only wait an average of 5 minutes per order because we do so much behind the scenes. We smoke our burgers every morning before grilling to the individual customer’s preference; we split our half-smokes to add flavor and cut down on grilling time; we prepare our falafels and crispy steak every morning; and our cooks are preparing sauces, jarring pickles, bottling beverages and baking donuts at dawn every morning,” said Bold Family Restaurant Co-Founder and Executive Chef Alonso Roche.
The market will feature gourmet grab-and-go selections to include TapaBar Spanish-Style Pickled Vegetables and 202 Donuts Arnold Palmers and Cold Brews, all are freshly prepared daily.
The physical space, about 2700 square feet, with 50 seats inside and 30 outside, will feature modern industrial décor with bold pops of red. A catering menu will offer fresh, fast and reasonably-priced fare for the many varied and discerning taste buds in the office.
Bold Bite Market will be open Monday to Saturday from 7:30 am to 8pm.
