THE YARDS: DC Firefighters hosting Hurricane Fundraiser at The Bullpen Saturday, September 23

Local Firefighters host Hurricane Disaster Relief Fundraiser Event to raise money for Texas and Florida Fire Departments with unlimited beer and live music 

On Saturday, September 23rd from 2-6pm at The Bullpen

The International Association of Firefighters Local 36,  Scorched Souls Motorcycle Club, and the DC Firefighters’ Burn Foundation are will host the IAFF Hurricanes Harvey and Irma Disaster Relief Fundraiser on Saturday, September 23rd from 2-6pm at the Bullpen. A portion of all ticket proceeds will provide immediate financial assistance to fire departments in Texas and Florida, helping displaced firefighters and their families while they continue to serve the surrounding communities.

About the Fundraiser: When disasters strike, firefighters are called to respond, even while their own families may be displaced and their homes damaged or destroyed. Join the IAFF at the Bullpen on Saturday, September 23rd from 2-6pm for a day of fundraising, community and fellowship to raise money for our brothers in the Texas and Florida fire departments affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

“Many Florida firefighters have had homes damaged or destroyed by the hurricane,” says Lieutenant Robert Alvarado, DC Firefighter and President of the Scorched Souls Motorcycle Club. “Several have been unable to even get home to assess the damage because they are on on the front lines assisting others. We feel a tremendous duty to help these firefighters during their time of need, and this event is going to be a fun day for a worthwhile cause.”

Ticket holders will enjoy live entertainment, catering from Due South, and unlimited beer pours from local breweries, including The Brewers Art, Burley Oak Brewing Company, Devils Backbone Brewing Company, Manor Hill Brewing, Union Craft Brewing, RaR Brewing, Austin Eastciders, Bold Rock Cider, Fordham Dominion Brewing, and MillerCoors and other selections.
