SHAW: Celebrate Oktoberfest at Drift on 7th - $10 Specials for the 10th Month

October conjures thoughts of changing leaves, cooler weather and of course, beer. Each Monday in October, Drift on 7th will be celebrating Oktoberfest—paying homage to the 10th month with a flight of four beers and Chef Ferhat Yalcin’s classic fish and chips at $10 each.

The October 1st flight includes Oliver's Creator/Destroyer—a brown ale made with Ceremony Coffee Roaster’s Destroyer espresso; Original Crispin Cider with its crisp and refreshing, fruit-forward green apple flavor and a subtle citrus aroma;

Narragansett Lager aka “Shaw's neighbor”-in honor of Jaws actor, the late Robert Shaw —a blend of Pacific hops and Iowa corn; and Left Hand Oktoberfest, a biscuity, malty goodness upfront and noble pedigree hops that add a subtly spicy finish.

Chef Ferhat Yalcin’s fish and chips are a contemporary take on the classic pub dish. Light, flaky fish in a tempura batter served with hand cut fries and homemade tarter sauce.
Drift on 7th uses only carefully sourced environmentally responsible, sustainable seafood all served in a casual beach-like atmosphere. The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday from 4-11 pm; Friday and Saturday, until 1 am. Live Jazz on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-10 pm. Drift on 7th is located at 1819 7th Street NW right by the Shaw/Howard University Metro station. For reservations and further information log into www.drifton7th.com, or call (202) 350-4350.
