WASHINGTON DC: MakeSpace Offers Free Pickup and Delivery of Goodwill Donations to ALL DC Residents This November

MakeSpace just announced that they will be offering free Goodwill pickups for all residents in their local D.C. service area for the month of November.

Now through November 30th, MakeSpace will bring one laundry-sized Goodwill x MakeSpace bag, collect unwanted items and deliver them to a local Goodwill facility at absolutely no charge. Those interested in donating will just need to:

  • Schedule an appointment at http://www.makespace.com/dc/goodwill
  • Have donations ready to fill up the provided MakeSpace x Goodwill bag upon the requested appointment time
  • Place your items in the bag, hand it over to MakeSpace and they will deliver your donations to a local Goodwill facility, hassle free
This is an extension of their existing Goodwill of Greater Washington partnership that offers a pickup and delivery of donations with each MakeSpace appointment. MakeSpace launched in Washington, D.C. in April 2015 and announced last week they they now, on top of storing bins and over-sized items (i.e. ac units, luggage, bicycles) , store furniture on-demand.
