GLOVER PARK: Casolare Hosts Family Friendly Pizza-Making Class & Lunch - MAY 6th
On Saturday, May 6, join Chef Dylyn Coolidge for a family-friendly, hands-on pizza-making class and lunch at Casolare in
Glover Park. Chef Coolidge will demonstrate
how to make crisp, thin-crust pizza, starting with how to make and roll
out the dough and then will give guests the chance to personalize their
pizzas with different toppings, reflecting the best seasonal and
traditional ingredients. Guests will then see how
to bake the pizzas and will learn tips and techniques for recreating
the pies in their own homes. Immediately following the demo, guests will
be treated to a family-style pizza party lunch, including salad to
start and chocolate chunk cookies to end the meal.
Guests of all ages are invited to join the class, which lasts from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased here,
and are priced at $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. Admission for kids two and under is free. Space is limited.
Casolare has also introduced a new kid’s menu to their offerings, featuring Italian classics portioned appropriately for children such as chicken parmigiana, margherita pizzette and roasted
salmon with crispy potatoes and asparagus. Desserts on the kid’s
menu include sweets created by Pastry Chef Alex Levin, including the
restaurant’s popular cannoli, house-made gelato and warm chocolate chunk
cookies. All children’s entrees are priced at
$10 and the desserts are $5. The full menu, available to kids 12 and under, is available here.
Casolare is located at 2505 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, Washington, DC.
