BETHESDA: True Food Kitchen Set to Open - June 14

Health-Driven Seasonal Restaurant Occupies Retail Space at
Washington Property Company’s Solaire Bethesda Apartments

The long-awaited opening of acclaimed True Food Kitchen in Bethesda, MD is scheduled for Wednesday, June 14, 2017. This sophisticated, healthy dining concept will occupy the entire 6,400 square foot retail space in Washington Property Company’s Solaire Bethesda luxury apartment community, which delivered in late 2016 and has been leasing rapidly.

The Bethesda location will be True Food Kitchen’s second in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, following the successful 2014 launch in the Mosaic District of Fairfax, VA.
“We think that Solaire Bethesda is the perfect location for True Food Kitchen,” said Daryl South, Senior Vice President of Development and Acquisitions, at WPC. “Bethesda is home to the National Institutes of Health and is one of the nation’s most bicycle-friendly communities. We think this exciting restaurant concept will be a magnet for Bethesda’s discerning and health-conscious residents as well as visitors from all over the area.”
Inspired by the principles of Dr. Andrew Weil’s anti-inflammatory diet, True Food Kitchen is a full-service, health-driven, seasonal restaurant featuring a flavor-forward menu that rotates regularly to let guests experience great-tasting ingredients at the peak of their freshness and flavor. The famed restaurant caters to nearly every food preference with a variety of gluten-free, naturally organic, vegetarian. and vegan offerings.

True Food at Solaire Bethesda will feature a lively dining room with an open kitchen designed to bring guests closer to its culinary craft. A small outdoor patio will seat approximately 30-35 guests in season. Natural woods and vibrant, locally-inspired artwork will add a contemporary touch to the earthy color scheme, natural elements, and greenery that will include indoor/outdoor garden basins filled with fresh herbs and spices. Throughout the restaurant, diners will find eco-friendly materials including hardwood floors made of reclaimed wood and dining chairs made of recycled soda bottles. Along with the street-level restaurant space, Solaire Bethesda offers 139 luxury rental apartments and a two-level underground parking garage. Its strategic location at the corner of Wisconsin and Woodmont Avenues is just 800 feet from the planned southern entrance to the Bethesda Metro station and Purple Line light rail station. This transit-oriented mixed-use development is just steps away from the popular shops and restaurants of Bethesda Row and the planned new headquarters for Marriott International.

Solaire Bethesda is WPC’s third Solaire-branded luxury apartment community, following the 2012 opening of Solaire Silver Spring and the early 2014 opening of Solaire Wheaton. WPC’s fourth Solaire-branded project, Solaire 8250 Georgia Avenue, is now under construction just two blocks from the Silver Spring (MD) Metro and multi-modal transit station. WPC’s four Solaire communities will total over 1,000 units, combining the finest amenities and high-end finishes with close proximity to Metrorail’s Red Line.
