U STREET: Sakerum To Debut Social Cigar Night Mondays on the Enclosed Rooftop
Sakerum, the newly opened Latin-Asian restaurant located in the bustling 14th Street corridor at 2204 14th Street, NW, has announced the debut of its Social Cigar Night,
available on Mondays exclusively on the restaurants 50-seat enclosed
rooftop. Cigar aficionados are encouraged to stop by between 7:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
and enjoy a cigar under the stars while sampling sushi, Latin-Asian
small plates as well as a curated selection of spirits including
Japanese whiskey, rum, and scotch. Guests are welcome to bring their
own cigars for an $8 cutting fee, or purchase one from Sakerum's
extensive collection. Cigars being offered include Oliva V No 4; Camacho American Barrel Aged; Rocky Patel The Edge Habano Toro; My Father Le Bijou Box Press Torpedo; Padron Anniversary Exclusivo; Ashton Classic Double Magnum; Montecristo White Robusto; Fuente Casa Cuba Divino; Cornelius & Anthony Corona Gorda, and the SakeRum Special Blend. Cigars range in price from $12 to $20.
For the perfect pairing, guests can enjoy a curated selection of spirits including Japanese whiskey, rum, and scotch. Highlights include Suntory: Toki with flavors of basil, green apple, honey, vanilla oak, ginger, and white pepper; Nikka: Taketsuru Pure Malt with flavors of caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, oaky vanilla, and hints of floral; Hibiki: Japanese Harmony with flavors of caramelized honey, candied orange, rosemary, cinnamon, nutmeg, and dark chocolate; El Dorado 12 year, soft& creamy with flabors of rich buttery molasses, coconut, and oak; Diplomatico: Anejo with flavors of green banana, vanilla, and caramel, and Diplomatico: Vintage with flavors of toffee, butterscotch, light sherry, exotic fruits, and wild honey. Spirits range in price from $10 to $45.
