H STREET NE: Toki Underground Introduces Japanese Whiskey Flights

In addition Sake flights, Toki Underground is now introducing Japanese Whiskey flights to their menu, as well. The flights, available at lunch and dinner, showcase two 12-year single malts from Suntory and a Japanese bourbon from Nikka. The single malts include the Yamazaki, a smooth, medium-bodied, round whiskey with notes of toffee and banana, and the Hakushu, a lighter whiskey, that has piney, green and smoky qualities. The bourbon, Nikka Coffey, is a full and rich vanilla and caramel bourbon made from 95% corn that resembles American bourbon. Each flight, priced at $25, includes 1 ounce pours of all three whiskies, served with cold water to soften the whiskey and bring out the aromas.
