RAMW: Summer Restaurant Week Suggestion #9: Ardeo + Bardeo, Cleveland Park - August 14 through 27


The Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington will host Summer Restaurant Week, August 14-20, inviting participating restaurants to offer three-course lunches for $22 and three-course dinners for $35, excluding tax and gratuity at each location. This bi-annual event invites diners to experience Washington’s top restaurants at an affordable price point.

In Cleveland Park, Ardeo + Bardeo, located at 3311 Connecticut Avenue, NW, 20008, is offering Restaurant Week fans the best of modern American cuisine exclusively during dinner service. Guests can choose one dish from the snacks or appetizer section, one dish from the seafood, meat or pasta section, and one dessert off Executive Chef Andrew Gearles’ menu for $35 per person. Seasonal menu items include Watermelon & Feta with seasonal greens, shaved fennel, sherry vinaigrette and basil; English Pea Agnolotti with seared shrimp, wild mushrooms, favas and parmesan; Salmon Tartare with ginger-soy caviar, miso aioli, ninja radish, sesame, crouton and shiso; Lamb Rack with wild mushrooms, kaleidoscope, carrots, passion fruit and natural jus; Fried Chicken with peri peri sauce, braised collards and marble potatoes, as well as Shot Shell Crab, cornmeal crusted with Calabrian chili, remoulade and sea beans. For a sweet ending, guests can select any dessert off the menu. Highlights include the Caramelized Honey Crème Brûlée with mixed berries and almond shortbread; Brown Butter Cake with caramel sauce, whipped cream and vanilla bean gelato, as well as Tapioca Parfait with mango compote, coconut sorbet and candied pistachios. Additionally, guests who dine Monday through Wednesday will receive a complimentary glass of red or white house to enjoy with their meal.

Ardeo+Bardeo is open for dinner service Sunday and Monday, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
