Dinner at the Chef’s Table: Legendary Risotto – August 3, 4 & 5, 7:00 p.m.
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday (August 3-5), Via Umbria’s new executive chef Liam LaCivita will host dinner at the chef’s table, highlighting the classic Italian dish, risotto. Guests will be greeted with a glass of Prosecco as they peruse Via Umbria’s selection of Italian wines, which can also be purchased to accompany dinner. The dinner, prepared in the upstairs demonstration kitchen, will be enjoyed around the communal dining table, giving guests the opportunity to interact with one another, and ask questions of chef throughout the night. This week’s four-course dinner, prepared by Chef LaCivita, includes a Panzanella salad, grilled hanger steak, and of course, risotto which is cooked in a flaming wheel of Grana Padano cheese and served immediately. The meal will be finished with a chocolate hazelnut semi-freddo.
