WASHINGTON DC: The Smithsonian is Hosting Their 2016 Holiday Festival - December 3 & 4

The Smithsonian will host its 2016 holiday festival, Saturday, December 3, and Sunday, December 4, at participating museums including:

  • National Museum of American History,
  • National Air and Space Museum,
  • National Museum of Natural History,
  • Sackler Gallery,
  • National Museum of the American Indian,
  • Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden,
  • National Museum of African American Art, and
  • The Smithsonian Castle.
The festival will feature special holiday screenings of The Muppet Christmas Carol and The Polar Express, and a musical performances by The US Air Force Band High Flight. The holiday festival also offers Mars chocolate demonstrations, a "Muppets and Puppets" exhibit showcasing the evolution of puppetry, astronaut food sampling, family holiday photo opportunities, a variety of seasonal drinks and treats including gourmet marshmallows, trunk shows featuring apparel, jewelry and art, book signings, and hours of additional family-friendly entertainment.

For only $1, festival-goers can ride the DC Circulator for access to the holiday festival museum locations.
