DOWNTOWN: Toast the Holidays at Bibiana Osteria Enoteca with a "25 Cocktails for Christmas" Countdown

Knightsbridge Group General Manager Michael King and Sam Ward, head bartender of Ashok Bajaj’s Italian hot spot Bibiana, have created 25 new seasonally-inspired drinks, a countdown to December 25th and the spirited holiday season.  Among the list of festive libations for the season of merriment is the Eggnog, with a Twist, Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Pedro Ximénez sherry, Bénédictine and grated nutmeg, served with a ginger cookie; the Christmas Buck, Becherovka, house-made ginger beer and cassis; the Belladonna, Gold Rum, house Black Rock Farms apple cider and Harney & Sons cranberry; the Winter Gin & Tonic, G’Vine gin, house-made winter tonic with citrus, lemongrass and baking spices, and the Acero, Buffalo Trace, Grade B maple syrup, Amaro Nonino and orange bitters. 

These cocktails, which are perfect for toasting the holidays, will start shaking on November 30th.  Guests can experience a new libation every evening through December 24th, and each is priced at $12.  A complete list of the 25 is posted below.

  1. Vin Brulé – Warm mulled wine with a house blend of spices, citrus peel, and botanicals
  2. Spicy Hot Chocolate – Dark Tcho Chocolate, Espellette, Calabrian chili, saffron, clove, orange peel, and other spices
  3. Sbagliato – Gran Classico Bitter, Cocchi Vermouth Rosso, prosecco.
  4. Cranberry Smash – Buffalo Trace, Bourbon and Amaro-macerated cranberries, cinnamon bitters, brown sugar
  5. Black Walnut Old Fashioned – Walnut-washed whiskey, clove, chocolate bitters.
  6. Hot & Cold Gin Fizz – G’Vine gin, lemon, warm citrus spuma
  7. Chamomile Vieux Carré – Chamomile-infused rye, Vecchia Romagna Brandy, Angostura, Peychaud’s, Benedictine
  8. Clementina Fizz – Aperol, clementine juice, prosecco
  9. Affogato Martini – Tito’s Vodka, Kahlua, Fior di Latte gelato, shaved dark chocolate
  10. Italian 75 – Gordon’s London Dry Gin, blood orange juice, lemon juice, prosecco, candied blood orange
  11. Eggnog, with a Twist – Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Pedro Ximénez sherry, Bénédictine, grated nutmeg, served with a ginger cookie
  12. Amari Cup – Averna, Fernet Branca, cucumber, citrus, Amalfi lemon soda
  13. Vespa – Boyd & Blair Vodka, Tanqueray Dry Gin, Contratto Bianco Vermouth
  14. Hot Buttered Rum – Gosling’s Black Seal rum, house Black Rock Farms apple cider, brown sugar and spiced compound butter
  15. Torta al Caffé – Bourbon, Varnelli Caffé Moka Amaro, Cointreau, whole egg
  16. Persimmon Punch – Dark rum, persimmon, quince
  17. Passione – Tito’s Vodka, Aperol, grilled pineapple juice, chili, lime
  18. Francesca – Tanqueray Old Tom Gin, Rothman & Winter Violette, Luxardo Maraschino, house brandied cherry
  19. Corretto – Laubade Blanche Armagnac, Varnelli Caffé Moka Amaro, La Colombe Espresso

  24. Acero – Buffalo Trace, Grade B maple syrup, Amaro Nonino, orange bitters
  25. B&B – Brandy and Benedictine served warm in a snifter, orange twist to taste
 Bibiana opens weekdays for lunch from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM and dinner is served Monday through Thursday from 5 PM to 10:30 PM, and Friday and Saturday from 5 PM to 11 PM.The restaurant is located close to Metro Center at 1100 New York Avenue, NW, at the corner of 12th and H Streets in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C.
